The Ghostbusters game rumours are true
Back in an earlier blog post I wrote about a possible Ghostbusters game being developed. Turns out it was an independent studio doing it without the proper licensing agreements. Sony Pictures sent them a cease & desist, yadda yadda, boring lawyer stuff, long story short they stopped. However, Sony seems to have thought it was a really good idea and are now in cahoots with Vivendi Games to release an actual Ghostbusters game scheduled for a Fall 2008 release.
Awesome part #1? The guys from the movies will be voicing their roles for the game!
Awesome part #2? Aykroyd and Ramis, who wrote the original script for the Ghostbusters movies, are going to write the story for the game.
Awesome part #3? Looking at the screenshots, Stay Puft has roast marks. ROAST MARKS!
I can’t wait to see what happens when you cross the streams.

Dr. Egon Spengler: There’s something very important I forgot to tell you.
Dr. Peter Venkman: What?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Don’t cross the streams.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Why?
Dr. Egon Spengler: It would be bad.
Dr. Peter Venkman: I’m fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, “bad”?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Dr Ray Stantz: Total protonic reversal.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Right. That’s bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.

Yeah, but don’t you want to see how they animate total protonic reversal? I sure as hell would.

I’m assuming since it’s Stay Puft it’s based on the 1st movie.
Does that mean what’s her face still turns into a dog?
“Your girlfriend’s a dog, Peter!”
