I suppose you navigated your way here to find out a little more about me. I have a BSc in computing science from Simon Fraser University's School of Computing Science. While a student there, I was nontrivially involved in the Computing Science Student Society (CSSS). If you are interested in some kind of social network connection, my LinkedIn profile is here.

I follow hockey in most forms, but mainly at the NHL, AHL and Canadian major junior levels. The fact that the Canucks have not yet had a parade down Robson Street with Lord Stanley's Cup irks me as a fan, and even more so given that division rivals Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche have all hoisted the Cup in their shorter histories. Look for some hockey thoughts on my hockey blog Stuffing It Five Hole.

Music is a hobby of mine and an outlet. I play two instruments: piano and saxophone. Jazz music is what I usually listen to, along with blues. I try to make it out to the Vancouver International Jazz Festival every year. Nothing beats good beer and jazz music on a warm sunny day.

I am currently employed at Reinvent Inc. doing web application development. The Internet can bring some rather strange and hideous things to the world, but as a technologist, I believe technology is neutral; it's what we do with it that makes it good or bad.

As a famous poster decreed: "The geek shall inherit the Earth." Watch out.
